Shear Care
A. Wipe your shear blades daily with a soft, dry cloth to remove moisture and fragments of hair.
B. Put a drop of oil between the blades and behind the set screw weekly.
C. Store in a dry place.
D. Avoid dropping or bring shears in contact with hard objects.
E. Most important: Use the shears only to cut hair!
Tension Adjustment
to adjust the tension setting, wipe shears clean, close the shears, rotate the screw 1/8 turn (or less) using a coin or hexagon adjustment tool. The adjustmist is correct if the shears open and close gently. Very little pressure should be needed to close while cutting. Testing shear tension: hold thumb handle in your left hand then lift the finger handle to an open position; let fall. The shears should remain 1/4 or 1/2 open.
