Andis Clippers
For almost a decade, Andis has provided clippers and trimmers for the hair styling world. The main difference between a clipper and a trimmer is the closeness of the cut.
Clippers are made for haircutting, but do not cut close to the skin as a trimmer. A trimmers main purpose is to “trim,” sideburns, neckline, etc.
Moreover, consumers can easily adjust Andis clipper/trimmers to run to their voltage needs. If an Andis clipper/trimmer rattles or over vibrates it may need adjustment to the line voltage in your area. Before adjusting, make sure the clipper/trimmer is clean and blade is oiled. Then turn the SMALL power screw clockwise on the side of the clipper until the noise disappears.
Andis has also produced additional products to meet their,” Do it yourself,” consumers.
These products include home haircutting kits, hair/blow-dryer and curling irons/brushes for use at home.
Haircutting Tips:
1) Make sure hair in clean/dried, and all gel and styling products removed. Styling products make it difficult to cut. Using a spray bottle of water, lightly mist hair for control.
2) Cutting from Top to Bottom of head, will ensure that hair is not cut to short.
3) Blade Guards are great tools to use, but make sure you go from largest to smallest.
4) A well-lighted area is necessary for a precise hair cut.
5) DO NOT force clipper/trimmer through hair. The clipper/trimmers should naturally guide through desired area.
6) DO NOT cut horizontally, because it leaves traces of uneven hair and is hard to blend.
INSTEAD, cut hair in Vertical or Diagonal sections.
7) For longer or thicker hair, subdivide the hair into smaller sections for accuracy and control.
Andis clippers and blades come in a variety of sizes and attachments. Andis hair clippers and beard trimmers are a convenient and easy way to get a close shave or trim!
